Carbs Are Not the Enemy!

Often we hear the comment β€œcarbs are the enemy!'β€œ

This is a very misleading comment and needs to be clarified with what carbohydrates are the bad ones. Your body needs carbohydrates to function properly for energy, brain function, muscle building and maintenance. The difference is that processed foods that have many hidden simple sugars that spike your insulin and are very high in calories, so you end up eating more than your daily needs. Therefore gaining weight quickly with not much nutritional value at all. If you get your carbohydrates from fruit, vegetables and some grains, you will thrive and not need to worry about weight gain or struggling to0 lose. Portion control is still a factor that needs to be controlled for results.
