Now if you are a highly competitive athlete and the nature of your job demands you to be one of the best at your particular vocation or sport, then yes you need to push yourself hard that will result in a sore body very often. It is also important to point out that by following a regimented warm-up, cooldown, stretching and massage routine will help reduce delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and help prevent injuries from occurring.
