WHAT TO EXPECT
IT ALL STARTS WITH A CONSULTATION
You will be contacted by Flex Fitness to schedule your initial consultation. The consultation will entail questions ranging from your fitness goals, physical/nutrition habits to any injuries you have sustained. After the consultation is finished we will take a tour of the facilities and schedule your first workout/fitness appraisal.
The appraisal is a full-body assessment of your strength, flexibility and cardiovascular capacity. These tests will give your trainer a better idea of some areas that need improvement to increase your overall health and composite scores. Once the hour-long appraisal is finished your trainer will schedule your first workout.
WORK OUT GEAR
Wear workout clothes that are comfortable and that breathe easily. The most important piece of workout gear is your footwear. Make sure your footwear is comfortable and provides proper support. Purchase your shoes from a professional store where they can look at your gait and can then select a shoe for a flat or arched foot.
The workout will begin by going over your scores from your fitness appraisal then if you have any questions they can be addressed. You will do a quick dynamic warm-up then start your program. The exact components of your program will depend on the questions asked during the consultation and your fitness appraisal. All of the personal programs will vary from client to client.
As you and your trainer progress along through the program adjustments will be dependent upon how quickly you learn the exercises and follow your program as it has been created. As you learn the program your trainer will be observing your abilities and strengths understanding you, and therefore able to push you harder or pull back a bit on certain exercises.
